    1 lb. ground beef, crumbled
    1 (1 1/4 oz. ) pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1 (16 oz. ) can tomato puree
    1 (15 1/2 or 15 oz. ) can pinto beans, drained
    1 med. onion, chopped
    1/8 tsp. pepper, if desired

    Salad
    12 oz. (8 cups) corn chips
    4 to 6 cups shredded lettuce
    1 to 2 tomatoes, chopped
    1 avocado, chopped
    4 oz. (1 cup) shredded American or cheddar cheese
    Purchased Ranch salad dressing or salsa


    Recipe



    In a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, combine all meat sauce ingredients; mix well.

    Cover; cook on HIGH for 2 hrs. or on low for 6-8 hrs. or until beef is thoroughly cooked and mixture is thoroughly heated.

    To serve, place corn chips in individual bowls. Top with meat mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and cheese. Serve with salad dressing.
