    Almond Brickle Blond Brownies

    Yield: 36 brownies

    Brownies:
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup chopped almonds

    Topping:
    3/4 cup almond brickle baking chips
    1/4 cup chopped almonds

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9-inch pan.

    In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and margarine; blend well. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup almonds. Spread in pan.

    Bake 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and set. Remove from oven; sprinkle evenly with topping ingredients.

    Return to oven; bake an additional 2 minutes.

    Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
