Bagel Pudding

1 cinnamon raisin bagel
1 egg
3/4 Cup milk or half and half
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 Tbsp. vanilla Recipe
Cut the bagel into 1/2-inch cubes to obtain 1-1/2 Cups
Beat the egg; stir in milk, sugar, butter and vanilla. Heat until just warm
Stir in bagel cubes
Cover and place in refrigerator 30 minutes or more, stirring once or twice
Pour into a small buttered casserole, cover with foil
Bake at 325º for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
Serve hot
Top with shipped cream
