3 cups Half-n-Half
1 cup Sugar
2 tbsp. Butter
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Gelatin
1/2 pc. Vanilla Bean
1 cup Half-n-Half
2 tbsp. Cornstarch
3 ea. Egg Yolks
3 tbsp. Banana Liquor
several Bananas sliced


Recipe



Combine first 6 ingredients and bring to a simmer in cooking pot. Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and temper with the hot half-n-half mixture. Combine both mixtures and cook till thickened in a double boiler. Chill. To assemble banana cream pie, place graham cracker crust around bottom of plate. Arrange 8 slices of banana on top and place 4 oz. of banana custard on top of that. Top with whipped cream and caramel sauce. Sprinkle with candied pecans.
