    1/2 c. Butter
    1/2 c. Sugar
    4 Egg yolks
    5 Tbsp. Milk
    1 c. Flour
    1 tsp. Baking powder
    4 Egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 c. Sugar
    1 tsp. Vanilla
    1/2 c. Chopped nuts
    2 Bananas, sliced
    4 Tbsp. Butter
    4 Tbsp. Flour
    3 Tbsp. Sugar
    1 c. Half and half
    1 tsp. Vanilla

    Recipe



    Mix first 6 ingredients. Pour into two 9 inch cake pans. Combine egg whites, sugar and vanilla, beat until stiff. Cover batter with meringue mixture and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 325F for 25 minutes. Combine last five ingredients to make a cream filling, let stand until cakes are ready. Allow cakes to cool, serve with cream filling and banana slices.
