Butterscotch Apple Dessert

2 eggs
1-1/2 c sugar
3 c sliced, peeled apples
1-1/2 c flour
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 c chopped nuts
2 T flour
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c light cream
1/3 c butter Recipe
Beat eggs, add 1 1/2 c sugar gradually, beat until thick and lemon colored
Fold in apple slices
Combine 1 1/2 c flour, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt
Fold into egg mixture with nuts
Pour in greased 13x9x2" baking pan
Bake 325 50-60 minutes
Serve warm with butterscotch sauce
Sauce:
Combine 2 T flour, 3/4 c sugar and brown sugar in top of double boiler
Stir in cream and butter
Cook over simmering water, stir occasionally, until thickened
