CARROT BROWNIES

½ cup margarine
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 cups finely grated carrot
½ cup nuts
Melt margarine. Add sugar and stir until well blended. Remove from heat and beat in eggs. Beat in all remaining ingredients except nuts. Pour into two 8x8 inch pans. Sprinkle nuts over top. Bake 30 minutes in 350° oven.
