1 recipe Fudgy-Chocolate Brownies (recipe below)
2-3 oz. packages cream cheese-softened
1 egg

Prepare the batter for Fudgy Brownies as directed; set aside. Grease an 8x8x2- or 9x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside.

In a medium mixing bowl beat together cream cheese and egg. Spread two-thirds of the brownie batter in pan. Drizzle cream cheese mixture atop. Drop remaining brownie batter by spoonfuls on top of cream cheese batter. Using a knife, gently swirl to create a marbled effect. Bake in a 350 degree oven, allowing 40 minutes for the 8-inch pan or 30 minutes for the 9-inch pan. Cool on a wire rack.

Yield: 16 brownies
