Custard Rice Pudding

4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3 cups milk, scalded
1 to 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 teaspoon vanilla nutmeg Recipe
Mix ingredients, except nutmeg, & turn into buttered, bowl-shaped baking dish.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Set bowl in a shallow pan of hot water & bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until a silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Drop a dollop of strawberry jam over each serving.
Serves 8
