Dandy Pecan Sandy Dessert

20-25 pecan sandies (crushed)
½ cup melted butter
½-8 oz. Cool Whip (thawed)
4 - pecan sandies for garnish (crushed)
½ - cup packed brown sugar
1 - large box instant vanilla pudding (prepared according to directions)
1 - 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)*
Recipe
In a 10x10x2 casserole dish, mix crushed cookies and packed brown sugar. Add melted butter. Mix together. Press in bottom and sides of dish. Chill in freezer while preparing filling.
Beat cream cheese until creamy and smooth. Add to pudding a little at a time until well-blended. Spread over cookie crust. Spread cool whip over pudding mixture. Garnish with the 4-crushed pecan sandies. Chill and serve.
*NOTE: Cream cheese can be left out. Just mix pudding and spread over cookie crust. You can also use the 3 oz. cream cheese if you like less in dessert.
