    3/4 c maple syrup
    1/3 c water
    1 c flour
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 c brown sugar
    1/2 c milk
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/4 c melted butter
    1/4 c chopped nuts or raisins

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350º

    Combine syrup and water in saucepan, and bring to a boil. Combine remaining ingredients, except raisins or nuts, and mix until smooth.

    Pour batter into a greased 1 qt. casserole. Sprinkle with 1/4c raisins or nuts. Pour boiling syrup-water mixture over batter. This makes sauce in bottom of the pan when the pudding is baked.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes.

    Serve with light cream.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings
