Stove Top Goulash (Diabetic)

List of Ingredients
8 ounces of ground 90% lean turkey or beef
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon of dried minced garlic
1 cup of frozen peas
1 3/4 cup of Chunky Tomato sauce
1/2 cup (one 2.5 ounce jar) of sliced mushrooms
2 cups of uncooked noodles, rinsed and drained
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
3/4 cup of shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
In a large skillet, sprayed with olive flavored cooking spray, brown the meat and onion. Add the minced garlic, peas, mushrooms, tomato sauce, noodles, black pepper and paprika. Mix well to combine. Stir in the cheddar cheese. Lower the heat. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Serves 6
