Banana Pudding

List of Ingredients




3 ripe bananas
1-1/2 Cups of sugar
Dash of salt
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 box vanilla pudding
1-1/2 Tbsp. flour
2 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)

Mix egg yolks with some milk and mix. Add sugar and flour. Then add remaining milk and dash of salt
Cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla
Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers
Pour filling over this while still hot

Meringue

2 egg whites
Dash of salt
1/3 Cup sugar

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, with salt added before beating
Beat until stiff peaks form
Spread over pudding and brown lightly under broiler
