Chocolate Nut Brownies

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup unsalted butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour, unsifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with butter in saucepan. Cool.
Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla together. Add cooled chocolate mixture to egg mixture. Mix flour and salt with baking powder. Add to the liquid mixture.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Pour 1 cup chocolate chips and nuts on top of brownie mixture. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Chill and cut into equal portions.
Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature.
