1 cup butter
4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups nuts - coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Set aside.

In a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate, stirring mixture constantly. Remove pan from heat.

With a spoon, stir the sugar into the chocolate; let cool slightly. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, vanilla and salt to mixture and stir well. Add chopped nuts and stir to blend. Pour mixture into prepared pan.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
