Rich Banana Pudding

Vanilla wafers (most of a 12-oz box)
4-5 medium bananas
2 (4-serving size each) pkgs instant vanilla pudding
3 cups milk*
1 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 (12- to 16-oz) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed*
Recipe
Line the bottom and sides of a 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish with vanilla wafers. Cover completely with sliced bananas, overlapping a bit.
Prepare pudding according to package directions, using 3 cups milk. Stir in sweetened condensed milk.
Fold in whipped topping, then pour mixture over bananas; chill thoroughly before serving. Texture of pudding is soft
Makes 12 to 15 servings.
Notes: I used 2-1/2 cups of milk, not 3 cups and I added an 8-oz carton of the whipped topping, instead of the 12-oz size. Crush the handful of remaining vanilla wafers left over after lining dish, and sprinkle crumbs over top of pudding. Dish will be very full after pouring the pudding over the bananas, so you may not want to add quite all of it. Best if made night before, then cover and chill overnight, (or chilled for several hours).
