Yellow Pudding with Chocolate Sauce

3 1/2 ounces of butter
3 eggs
4 ounces of sugar
The rind and juice of 1/4 lemon
3 tablespoons of flour
Separate the egg yolks and whites. Cream the butter or margarine and sugar, add yolks gradually. Fold in the flour alternately with stiffly beaten egg whites. Add the lemon rind and juice. Steam for about three-quarters to one hour. Serve with chocolate sauce.
Chocolate Sauce
Break four ounces of plain chocolate into small pieces. Dissolve the chocolate in a half pint of water together with four ounces of sugar and cook until thickened. Serve separately.
