Cinnamon Bun Cupcakes

1 box yellow (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix
1 cont (8 oz) sour cream
3 eggs
1/3 cup canola oil
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
8 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 cans (16 oz) cream cheese frosting
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat tops of 2 (12-cup) muffin pans with cooking spray. Line 20 muffin cups with liners. On low speed, beat first four ingredients and 1/4 cup water, 1 minute. At medium high speed beat until fluffy, 2 minutes. Combine 1/3 cup batter, 1/3 cup brown sugar and 4 tsp of cinnamon. Fill cups 1/2 full with 1/2 batter. Top each with 2 tsp brown sugar batter; top with remaining batter. Bake 20 minutes until pick inserted come out clean. Cool completely. Reserve 1 cup frosting; transfer remainder to pastry bag fitter with 3/4 round tip. Pipe over cupcakes in spiral pattern. Combine reserved frosting with remaining brown sugar and cinnamon; transfer to pastry bag fitted with 1/4 round tip. Pipe over plain frosting in spiral pattern.
