    1/2 to 1 lb. bacon
    12 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    chopped parsley
    1/2 cup sour cream
    green onion, chopped fine
    fresh diced mushrooms
    cheddar cheese, grated

    Chop bacon and cook until crisp; drain on paper towels.
    Mix beaten eggs with nutmeg and parsley; scramble, then set aside.

    In greased quiche dish, layer in the following order: egg mixture, sour cream, green onions, bacon pieces, mushrooms and cheddar cheese.

    Heat oven to 300 degrees. Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted. Do not overbake.

    Cooking tip: This dish can be prepared the night before. Follow all directions through the layering sequence, then refrigerate. Bake in the morning.

    May be served with sliced tomatoes with melted butter and basil. Heat in the microwave for one minute. Do not cook. Place on a lettuce leaf.

    Yield: 6 servings
