1 lb. scallops (cleaned and seasoned with salt)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
3/4 cup green peppers, diced
Sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups whole milk
Recipe
In a frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and saut� the onion, celery, mushrooms, and green pepper until half cooked. In another pan, make a cream sauce with the remaining ingredients. Add the scallops and vegetables to the sauce and pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Top with your favorite cracker crumbs. Bake for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
