Chocolate Sundae Frosting

5 squares Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate
1/4 C butter
6-1/2 C sifted confectioner's sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2/3 C milk (approx.) - whatever kind of milk you have on hand-skim, 2%, whatever)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 C coarsely chopped nuts
2 tsp hot water
Recipe
Combine sugar, salt, milk & vanilla. Stir to blend
Let rest, while you melt chocolate & butter over very low heat, in a double boiler if you have one
Cool the chocolate mixture slightly
Add chocolate mixture to sugar mixture. Stir well
Let stand, stirring occasionally. If necessary, add more milk a teaspoon at a time until it reaches spreading consistency
Set aside 1/4 C of frosting
Fill & frost cake with remainder
Sprinkle nuts over top of cake
Blend hot water with reserved frosting, & drizzle this over the nuts
Frosts 3 - 8" or 2 - 9" layers very generously. If you want to make a real -impression- , use 1-1/2 boxes of cake mix & make 3 9"-layers -- then you'll increase this recipe by half
