    Grandma Bogey's Easy Maple Frosting

    List of Ingredients




    2 large egg whites
    1 1/2 cups of maple or maple flavored syrup
    1/8 teaspoon of salt
    1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

    In top of double boiler, over simmering water with hand held mixer at high speed, beat egg whites, maple syrup, and salt 7 to 10 minutes, until soft peaks form. Remove double boiler top from saucepan. Add the vanilla and beat for 1 to 2 minutes, until thickened and of easy spreading consistency.
    Makes about 6 cups
