Magic-Quick Chocolate Frosting

2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
1 (14-ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
Dash salt
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt chocolate with consensed milk and salt.
Cook and stir until thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in water; cool. Stir in vanilla.
Store at room temperature.
Variation:
CHOCOLATE-ALMOND FROSTING
Omit the 1 tablespoon water and vanilla extract. Following instructions above, after frosting thickens remove from heat, cool 10 minutes, then stir in 1 teaspoon almond extract.
Frosting for 12 cupcakes or one 8-inch two-layer cake or one 13x9-inch cake
