    1 quart milk
    6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
    5 egg yolks
    2 cups sugar
    30 candied cherries
    12 ounces good quality sweet chocolate finely chopped

    Recipe



    1. Combine milk and the 6 ounces of unsweetened chocolate in a saucepan. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until chocolate is completely melted.

    2. In another saucepan beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored then beat in sugar.

    3. Beat in hot chocolate mixture a little at a time, beating constantly until well blended. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.

    4. Remove from heat and pour into a 2 quart tupperware container. Freeze until mixture is thick enough to handle.

    5. Form 30 balls with candied cherries inside, using about 3 tablespoons mixture per ball. Roll balls in chopped chocolate and return to freezer until ready to serve. You may find that you need to form a few at a time then return the mixture to the freezer for a few minutes until it is hard enough to work with again.

    6. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Serve covered with whipped cream
