    Creamed Mushrooms and Onions a la Romano

    1/2 lbs. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1 can (15 1/2 oz.) drained small white onion
    1 pkg. white sauce mix
    1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
    1/3 cup grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese

    Recipe



    Rinse and pat dry fresh mushrooms (makes 2 1/2 cups); set aside.

    Prepare white sauce according to directions. Season with Italian Seasoning and black pepper.

    Place mushrooms and onions in buttered one-quart casserole. Pour sauce over all. Sprinkle with cheese.

    Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 deg.) for 30 minutes. Serve piping hot.

    Yield: 4 Portions
