    Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    Salt & Pepper
    Red Onion
    Chile Flakes (Optional)
    Grated Cheese (Optional)

    In a pan heat the olive oil over medium heat until very hot but not smoking. Thinly cut some red onion into rings, then in half and add to the pan along with thickly sliced garlic (chile flakes are optional). Cook for 1-2 minutes and add in your green beans with the tips cut off. Stir the beans while cooking, until they are thoroughly cooked and soft, which should take about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and grated cheese if desired.
