    1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef
    6 ounces course Italian bread or unflavored breadcrumbs.
    4 ounces of milk
    1 ounce dried porcini mushrooms
    2 eggs
    ½ cup Parmigiano
    3 ounces prosciutto
    Salt and pepper
    3 tablespoons flour
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    ½ cup white wine

    Recipe



    1. Soak the bread in the milk for about 20 minutes.

    2. Soak the mushrooms in warm water and slice when rehydrated.

    3. Squeeze excess moisture out of the bread and mix with the mushrooms.

    4. Add the chopped meat, eggs, Parmigiano, prosciutto, salt and pepper, and mix with your hands.

    5. Form the meat loaf and sprinkle the flour all over the meat loaf.

    6. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the meat loaf on all sides.

    7. Place the meat loaf in a roasting pan and add half of the wine.

    8. Place it in an oven preheated to 350 degrees and bake for about one hour.

    9. Gradually add the rest of the wine over the meat loaf while cooking.

    10. Let it set for about fifteen minutes, slice and serve.
