    Pasta with fresh green beans and a good pesto sauce is a great way to chase away the blues. This dish takes almost no time to prepare and provides a sparkling green meal that will remind you of summer. This recipe serves: 4

    List of Ingredients




    1 Tbsp Salt For Boiling, As Needed
    1 Lb Green Beans, Ends Trimmed, Beans Out Into 2-Inch Pieces
    1 Lb Pasta Shells, Ziti
    1/2 Cup Pesto
    1/4 Cup Walnuts, Toasted
    1/4 Cup Parmesan Choose, Grated

    Recipe



    1. Bring two pots of salted water to a boll. When boiling, cook the beans in one pot and the pasta in the other. Cook the beans until tender to the bite and bright green, about 10 minutes. Cook the pasta al dente, about 10 minutes.

    2. Drain the pasta, reserving about 3/4 cup* of the water. Drain the green beans and combine them with the pasta. (* amount specific to servings.)

    3. Stir the pesto into the posts mixture along with the walnuts and reserved posts water. Portion onto plates and sprinkle with parmesan cheese before serving.
