    Lou Pember's Italian Gravy for Macaroni

    List of Ingredients




    1 LB. Italian Sausage
    2Tbs. Olive oil
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1Tbs. Italian seasoning
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 16oz. can whole tomatoes (mashed)
    2 10oz. cans tomato sauce
    2 6oz. cans tomato paste
    1 or 2 garlic cloves
    1 green pepper (halved)
    3/4 cup water

    Recipe



    Brown Italian sausage with onion in olive oil. Drain. Add garlic clove, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, green pepper and water. Cover and simmer for at least 2 hrs. then remove garlic and green pepper.
