List of Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 large onion, finely minced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
3 Tbsp. water
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
4 Tbsp. dark rum
2 Tbsp. ground ginger
freshly ground pepper to taste
salt, if desired
flour to coat
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil for frying
sesame stick snacks
Recipe
Place the ground meats in a large bowl. Sweat the onion and garlic in 3 tablespoons water in a covered pan. When the onion is soft, mix into the meat with the beaten eggs, bread crumbs, soy sauce, rum ginger, pepper, and salt of desired. Form the mixture into small bite-size 1 inch meatballs. Roll the meatballs in flour, fry about 6 minutes, and drain on paper towels. Push a sesame stick into each meatball for an edible holder.
Makes approximately 36 meatballs
