Rigatoni w/Sausage In Gorgonzola Sauce

16 oz Rigatoni
1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup white zinfandel
1/4 cup yellow onions, diced
1 lb mild Italian sausage, cooked, cut in 3/4 inch chunks
1 tablespoon fresh garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
3 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
4 tablespoons butter, cut in small pieces.
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Recipe
Cook pasta according to the package directions. Heat the oil in a large skillet; add garlic, onions and herbs. Cook for 3 minutes. Add wine; cook 1 minute. Add cream; simmer 3-4 minutes or until the sauce is slightly thickened. Add the cheeses; stir and simmer until the sauce lightly coats the back of a spoon. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add cooked sausage to the sauce and stir in butter until it melts. Add the cooked pasta; toss with sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately
