List of Ingredients
1 pound of fresh cranberries, picked over and rinsed
1 1/2 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of seedless golden raisins
2 oranges, cleanly peeled, seeded, and cut into small chunks
3/4 cup of chopped pecans
Place the cranberries in a large saucepan, and add the water, and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to moderately low and simmer until the berries just pop open, 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the sugar, raisins, and orange chunks, stir, and simmer about 15 minutes longer.
Stir in the nuts, simmer for 2 minutes longer, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
Spoon the conserve into hot sterilized jars, seal, and store in a cool area.
Or spoon the mixture into jars, cover tightly with lids and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Refrigerate after opening.
