    Low Fat Lemon Pepper Sauce

    1 tablespoon of cornstarch
    2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
    White or black pepper to taste
    1/2 cup of plus 2 tbsp. water
    2 tablespoons of Dijon style mustard

    Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons cold water. In a saucepan, whisk together 1/2 cup water, lemon juice and mustard. Heat and add the cornstarch mixture. Continue heating and stirring until the sauce thickens. Add more lemon juice, if desired. Add pepper. Serve over steamed vegetables or lean meats. Makes 2 servings.
