List of Ingredients
2 lbs beef brisket
3 cloves
Salt, pepper
3 slices bacon
Beef soup (bouillon)
2 to 3 tomatoes
1 onion
3/4 cup chopped celery
2 bay leaves
1/2 liter red wine
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Recipe
Season meat with salt and pepper. Put meat, bacon, tomatoes, onion, celery, gloves, bay leaves, beef soup and half of the wine in an oven-proof dish, cover and put into 325° oven until meat is tender. Cut meat into slices, strain sauce through sieve (or puree sauce, if you like!), add rest of red wine and bring to boil. Season to your taste. Pour gravy over meat and serve with polenta, rice or noodles and parmesan.
