    2 pounds ground beef
    1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 cup gingersnaps, crushed
    1 1/2 cups apple juice
    1/3 cup water
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons flour
    1 tablespoon fat

    Recipe



    Mix ground beef, cheese, raisins, 1/2 cup gingersnaps and salt. Shape into 20 balls. Roll in flour. Brown in hot fat. Remove balls & pour off drippings. Combine apple juice, lemon juice and water with 1/2 cup crushed gingersnaps in pan. Bring mixture to a boil and continue to cook until thickened. Add meat balls to gravy. Cook over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Spoon gravy over meat balls and serve. Makes 6 generous servings.
