Breaded Pork Chops

4 center cut pork chops
1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons of milk
1/2 cup of fine dry Italian bread crumbs
2 tablespoons of shortening
1/4 cup of chicken broth or water
Dip the chops in the flour mixed with salt and pepper, then in egg slightly beaten with 2 tablespoons of milk. Dip the chops in bread crumbs. Heat the shortening in skillet for 3 minutes. Add the pork chops, brown for 3 minutes on each side. Add broth. Cover, cook over medium heat 45 minutes or until the chops are tender. Take the cover off the skillet for the last 5 minutes. remove the chops to serving platter.
