    1/2 lb lean ground beef
    1/2 lb ground pork
    1 med onion, chopped
    3 tbl breadcrumbs
    3 tbl cold water
    2 large eggs
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp EACH paprika, prepared mustard
    2 tbl chopped parsley
    4 slices bacon (chopped)
    4 tbl vegetable oil
    1 cup beef broth

    Sauce:
    1/4 cup hot water
    1 tsp cornstarch
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 cup sour cream

    Recipe



    Combine meats, onion, breadcrumbs, cold water, and eggs. Add salt, paprika, mustard, and parsley. Shape into a loaf, resembling a flat bread loaf. Cook bacon in Dutch oven 2 min. Carefully add oil and heat. Place meatloaf in Dutch oven and brown all sides. Place in uncovered Dutch oven in a preheated 350° oven 35-45 min. While meat is baking, gradually pour hot beef broth over top of loaf; brush w/pan drippings. When done remove meat to a preheated platter and keep warm. Add 1/4 cup hot water to pan and scrape all particles from bottom. Bring to gentle boil. Mix corn-starch and 1/4 cup water and add to pan. Cook until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Reheat to warm (DO NOT BOIL). Season w/salt and pepper. Serve sauce on side.
