    1 ½ lb. ground chuck/ground beef
    ¾ cup chopped onion
    ½ teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 can (10 ¾ oz.) condensed tomato soup
    ¾ can water
    1 can (28oz.) chow-mein vegetables, drained
    (2 cans, if you like a lot)
    3 cups hot cooked rice
    chow-mein noodles

    Cook meat & onions in large skillet until meat is browned & onion is tender; add salt, pepper, soy sauce, soup & water. Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes; add chow-mein vegetables & simmer until heated thoroughly. Serve over rice and sprinkle with chow-mein noodles.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
