    Mushroom Beef Patties

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound round ground
    1 C. chopped fresh mushrooms
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 green onions, finely chopped
    1 T. cornstarch
    1/3 C. half-and-half
    2 T. butter, melted
    Mushroom Sauce (see below)
    2 T. minced fresh parsley

    Recipe



    Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; shape into 6 patties.
    Cook patties in butter in a large skillet over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until done
    While patties cook, prepare Mushroom Sauce. Spoon warm sauce over patties, and sprinkle with parsley.
    Yield: 6 servings

    Mushroon Sauce
    1-1/2 C. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1 T. butter, melted
    2 T. all-purpose flour
    1-1/3 C. half-and-half
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper

    Saute' sliced mushrooms in melted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until tender. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stirring gently until blended; gradually add half-and-half. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and bubbly; add salt and pepper.
    Yield: 1-3/4 cups.
