    Thick pork chops (as many as needed)
    1 teaspoon of shortening
    3/4 cup of orange juice
    1/2 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
    One 16 ounce can of jellied cranberry sauce

    Brown thick pork chops in shortening. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside. In pan, blend orange juice, brown sugar and cranberry sauce. Heat slowly. Pour sauce over pork chops. Cover and simmer 50 minutes or until tender.
