    One 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
    1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    1 pound of ground beef
    2 tablespoons of brown sugar
    2 tablespoons of vinegar
    2 tablespoons of water
    1 teaspoon of prepared mustard
    Dash pepper
    Hot cooked noodles or rice

    Combine 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, onions and salt. Add meat. Shape into 4 (1/2" thick) patties. Brown in skillet, drain off fat. Combine remaining tomato sauce, vinegar, water, mustard and pepper. Pour over burgers. Cover and simmer for 10 or 15 minutes, spooning sauce over meat. Serve over noodles or rice.
