1 lb. ground round
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 8oz. can cut green beans
1 8oz. can red kidney beans
cooking oil
6 10-inch flour tortillas
1 lg. tomato, chopped
1 small head lettuce, shredded
1 cup (4oz.) shredded sharp cheese
French (red) salad dressing
Recipe
In skillet cook ground round with onion and garlic until browned; drain. Add chili powder and 1/2 tsp. salt. Set aside and keep warm. In saucepan combine undrained beans; heat and drain. In heavy skillet heat 1/4 cup cooking oil. Fry tortillas one at a time, in the hot oil, for 20 to 40 seconds on each side or until crisp and golden brown. Drain on paper toweling. Place on dinner plates the browned tortillas. Layer ingrediants as follows: meat, beans, tomato, lettuce and cheese. Serve at once. Pass salad dressing.
