Spinach Lasagna

8 oz. lasagne noodles
2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
6 oz. can tomato paste
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 C. mushrooms
1 C. water
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 T. parsley flakes
1 tsp. basil
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 C. cottage cheese
1 box frozen chopped spinach
1/4 C. diced salami (optional)
1 egg 1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 C. Parmesan cheese
Recipe
Cook lasagne noodles as directed, drain. Brown beef with onion in skillet. Add next 10 ingredients and simmer 1 hour. Combine cottage cheese, spinach, salami, egg, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. In 13 x 9 pan, alternate noodles, cheese mixture, meat mixture and mozzarella cheese, ending with cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
