    Ice Box Macaroni Salad

    7 oz. macaroni
    2 tbsp. salad oil
    1 tbsp. vinegar
    1 cup diced Cheddar cheese
    2 tbsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper
    1 cup cooked ham (may use Spam, roast, chicken, tuna, or shrimp)
    1 cup celery, diced
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1 (7 oz.) can peas, drained

    Recipe



    Cook macaroni according to package directions. Do not chill.

    While macaroni is still hot, drizzle with oil and vinegar. Add cheese onion, salt, and pepper. Toss well.

    Mix in ham, celery, and mayonnaise.

    Gently mix in canned peas. Chill thoroughly.

    Serve on salad greens.

    Servings: 6 to 8
