    Midwestern Pasta Salad

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound macaroni
    3/4 cup sugar
    2 cups Hellmann's mayonnaise (must be real mayonnaise, no substitutes)
    1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    4 carrots, grated
    1-1-1/2 cups chopped cubed ham (a smokey variety is very tasty)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, optional


    Recipe

    Cook, drain and cool macaroni according to package directions. Mix together all remaining ingredients except the Cheddar cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with crackers. Garnish with Cheddar cheese, if desired.
