    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
    1/2 cup sugar granulated
    2 eggs separated
    1 cup flour unsifted
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 cup pecans chopped fine
    1/2 tsp. baking powder

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed cream butter, sugars, and egg yolks until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl combine flour, cinnamon and salt. Add to creamed mixture and blend well. Dough will be stiff.

    Spread evenly over ungreased 15 1/5 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Beat egg white with fork until foamy. Brush over dough. Sprinkle pecans over and press down. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Cut in 3x1 1/2 in. bars while still hot. Let cool in pan. Makes 3 dozen. 125 cal each.
