1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs, unbeaten
Recipe
Add butter to boiling water; heat until butter melts. Add flour and salt all at once, stirring vigorously. Cook, stirring until mixture leaves side of pan. Remove and cool 1 minute. Add eggs, unbeaten, one at a time, beating with a spoon after each addition until smooth. Drop by Tablespoon a full 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet shaping with a spoon into rounds with a peak on top. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
Cool. Cut a slit in one side and fill with your favorite cream filling or whipped cream. Dust with powdered sugar or can be served with butter-scotch, fudge, or fruit topping.
