    Crunchy Butter Pizza Dough

    Recipe Introduction

Generally, if you are going for thin and light, you won't want to make a traditional pizza dough with yeast, etc. Try this one (not for the fat concious):

    List of Ingredients

2 3/4 cups all purpose flour, plus 1/2 cup for working
    3/4 cup milk
    5 T unsalted butter, softened
    1 t baking powder
    1 t salt

    Recipe

In a large bowl, combine the 2 3/4 cup flour, milk, butter, baking powder and salt. Stir with a fork until a soft dough forms. Shape into a ball. Lightly flour a work surface with the remaining flour. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a round 1/8 inch thick and about 12 inches in diameter. Flip it over occasionally as you roll it out. The dough should be slightly thinner in the middle than at the edge. When it is the correct size, lift the edge of the pizza to form a slight rim. Top and bake as directed in individual recipes.
