Maple Glazed Turkey

1 16-18 lb fresh turkey (with pop-up thermometer)
1 cup Vermont maple syrup
Salt
Pepper
1 stick butter, cubed
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375°
Rinse turkey skin and cavity. Thoroughly pat dry with towel. Season with salt and pepper and place in baking pan.
Add cubed butter between skin and breast. Rub turkey skin with maple syrup. Place in oven until thermometer pops, approximately 3-3 1/2 hours.
