    Almond Toffee Triangles

    1/3 C. packed brown sugar

    1/3 C. light or dark corn syrup

    1/4 C. butter

    1/4 C. heavy cream

    1 1/2 C. sliced almonds

    1 tsp. vanilla extract



    Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare Bar Cookie Crust. In medium saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and cream. Bring to boil over medium heat; remove from heat. Stir in almonds and vanilla extract. Pour over hot crust; spread evenly. Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until set and golden. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into 2-1/2 inch squares; cut each in half diagonally to create triangles. Makes 4 dozen triangles.
